How Budget Control works
The limit applies to a calendar month and is compared against the sum of the spent amounts on records dated within that month. Returns are deliberately ignored here: a budget is about what goes out, and offsetting it with what came back turns a spending limit into a moving target.
Nothing is enforced. The site cannot stop any spending and does not try to; it only shows you the number you asked it to watch. If you pass the limit, the page says so plainly and without alarm language, and it will not nag you afterwards.
Both the limit and your records are stored in this browser only. Moving to another device or clearing browser data starts from empty, so keep an export from Backup & Restore. This page is a personal tool and is excluded from any future advertising on this site.
