Privacy
What is stored, where it is stored, what leaves your device and how to remove it.
Your records stay in your browser
In this version, everything you enter — records, notes, numbers, amounts and your budget setting — is stored in your own browser's local storage under a namespaced, versioned key. It is not transmitted to a server, it is not associated with an account, and it is not visible to anyone operating this site.
No account is required and none is offered. There is no sign-up, no email address collected for using the tools, and no profile built about you.
Consequences of local storage
Local storage is tied to the browser and device you used. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, or switching to another browser or device will make your records unavailable, and there is no copy anywhere for anyone to restore.
Because of that, exporting a backup file is strongly recommended, particularly before clearing browser data or changing device. The backup page produces a plain JSON file that you keep and control.
Removing your data
Deleting individual records removes them immediately. To remove everything, clear this site's data in your browser settings, which erases the stored records and budget setting entirely. There is no server-side copy to request the deletion of.
Advertising and analytics
This preview contains no advertising code, no advertising network, no analytics service and no third-party tracking scripts. If advertising is ever introduced on a future public version, the personal tool pages — records, P/L summary, budget and backup — are excluded from it by design, and this page will be updated to describe exactly what is used before anything is deployed.
